Collections
What is a website collection?
- A collection is a complete, ready-made website template for contractors, available on every plan. Estate, Atelier, and Monument differ in composition and presentation, not in function.
Is a collection exclusive to my firm or territory?
- No, collections are reusable and nonexclusive; your identity, images, copy, and project order make the site yours.
Can I change collection later?
- Yes, a change maps your content into a private draft of the new collection for review before anything is published.
Plans and billing
What do the three plans cost?
- Presence is $19 per month or $190 per year, Studio $49 or $490, Private Office $199 or $1,990, with annual plans paid upfront. Two months free with annual billing.
When does billing start?
- Billing starts when you subscribe, including setup; publishing is a separate step. Private preparation before that is free and has no card.
Can I pause my subscription?
- No, but you can cancel renewal and keep access through the paid-through date, then return within the export window without losing data.
What happens if a payment fails?
- The charge is retried on days 1, 3, and 5, and a seven-day grace period keeps your website and workspace active while you update the payment method.
Setup and domains
What address does my website have?
- Every website publishes to a hosted address such as yourfirm.founding.site. On Studio and Private Office you can also connect one custom domain you own; Presence stays on the hosted address.
Is domain registration included?
- No, you register or keep your own domain; on Studio and Private Office, FoundingSite provides the DNS records to connect it and manages the certificate.
Can I move an existing website?
- Yes, a migration checklist maps important old links to new pages and checks business email delivery before the switch.
Software and mailboxes
Which mailboxes can be connected?
- Individual Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 business mailboxes, on Studio and Private Office. Presence has no mailbox connection; new inquiries arrive by notification email. Shared or delegated mailboxes, generic IMAP, and consumer accounts are not supported yet.
Which software connections are live?
- None are sold today. Manual handoff to your construction software is included on every plan, and the directory shows each provider's real status.
Content, privacy, and exit
Who owns the content?
- You own your content and your domain. The collection presentation is licensed, not transferred.
What can I export?
- Contacts, leads, opportunities, activity history, your copy, and your original uploaded media, in CSV and JSON with media originals.
What happens after cancellation?
- Access continues through the paid-through date, followed by 30 days of owner-only export, removal from active systems by day 60, and expiry of routine backups by day 90.
How do I make a privacy request?
- Use the privacy request form; FoundingSite confirms who is responsible and the expected timing without promising a fixed statutory deadline.
